Director / Project Manager

Kris, originally from the United Kingdom started his decorating journey in 2000 indentured to his father Gary who previously taught Painting and Decorating at colleges in London and Auckland. As an apprentice in New Zealand his first job was working on the interior of a 22 story high rise building, where he began to learn his craft. In 2002 he moved to Brisbane with family and continued working for his father sub-contracting to various companies until he completed Cert III in Painting and Decorating in March 2004, because of Kris's attention to detail and high standard of work, the college he attended in Brisbane asked him in 2004 if he would consider representing Australia in the apprentice of the year awards in Luxembourg, due to other commitments Kris had to decline. In April 2004, Kris moved back to the U.K leaving parents and brothers in Brisbane. In the U.K Kris set up a Painting company working on everything from repaints to all aspects of new construction and with a great team of tradesman who were likeminded and passionate about the trade it became a very successful business with lots of repeat customers and projects coming in by recommendation. In 2020 he decided to move back to Brisbane with his wife and children to enjoy the lifestyle Queensland offers.

Gary has 40 years of expertise in the Painting and Decorating Industry, He started his City and Guilds full craft in 1980 In the United Kingdom. Gary taught the trade in multiple colleges and he has worked for and ran some of the biggest companies who specialise in painting in England, New Zealand and Australia in the last 4 decades. 

Gary has the following qualifications.

• City & Guilds Painting & Decorating
• City & Guilds Teaching (Cert ED)
• Advanced Surveying & Estimating
• Diploma in Project Management
• Diploma in Construction Civil Engineering
• Diploma in Construction Estimating
• Diploma in Construction Quantity Surveying  

Kyle started his painting and decorating apprenticeship in 2002 in Brisbane and for the last 20 years he has worked on and completed some of the biggest projects to come out of the ground in Australia, Kyle has also been involved in multiple renovations of listed buildings and luxury repaints, he specifically specialises in decorative finishing and wallpapering. For the last 7 years Kyle has been working as a Project manager and Estimator. His extensive knowledge of the trade is a benefit to any employer or client.
